Steelflex® Falk Couplings (now Rexnord Couplings) deflect torsionally when subjected to varying loads, allowing the coupling to tune the drive system. Steelflex grid couplings also offer alignment flexibility and simpler initial installation than gear couplings. Images courtesy Rexnord Industries. BK Power Systems is the leading Falk couplings distributor in the US with responsive service, lower cost and strategically located stocking centers for rapid and customized reponse. Steelflex® Falk coupling designs are used for connecting shafts in close proximity to one another. The split design features a two piece cast aluminum cover for easy installation and servicing of the grid coupling.
Falk Lifelign® gear couplings from Rexnord use steel teeth that engage into a sleeve to transmit power. Lifelign close-coupled Falk couplings tolerate shaft misalignment between equipment.
The Steelflex® T-Hub Falk coupling design is the common hub used in T10 and T20 grid couplings. Hubs are available in stock bores and custom bores.
Rigid hub Falk couplings from Rexnord are typically used in single engagement or fully rigid coupling designs. The standard configuration is drilled for use with exposed bolt fasteners. Shrouded bolt designs are also available.
Integrated Corrosion Companies offers F Hubs and WA flexible elements from Falk couplings (now Rexnord Industries). Couplings can operate in either horizontal or vertical position, without modification.
